Toads and ducks

First we went to lunch, like every Friday, with my Mom and Grandma.

We went to Toad's, my brother works there, we had pizza and the kids got to play arcade games. Which is nice, half the time I didn't even put money in, they didn't even notice.

Next we went out to Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins' house, worked on a quilt and gave Luke a hair cut. Luke's haircuts are always a traumatizing event. He wasn't too happy, as you can see the look on his face.

Last, but certainly not least, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Dawson's to play with the new ducks, and get the kids filled up on more yummy pizza.

Luke and Abigail were both a bit wary of the ducklings, but Luke ended up sitting down with one for about a minute. When I was taking the picture, Luke told the duck to 'Smile!'

At the Park

We're lucky to have so many parks around us. We pick a new park every time we go out.

Abigail says "wee wee" all the way down the slide.

Luke said, "McDonalds, can I help you"

He was a little nervous to go over the bridge, so he just crawled.

Memorial Day

We went bowling today with my parents and Blake. My Mom beat us all. Ben came in a close second. I'm glad his bowling classes paid off.

Luke just didn't understand why it wasn't always his turn, but I think he had a good time.

Luke sat down on most turns waiting for his ball to reach the pins.

Sunday

We took the kids for a walk today to go see my Grandma and Grandpa Jenkins' grave. My parents live right across the street, so it was a nice easy walk.  I love that my kids get to be with their Grandma Dixie so much, they just love her.

Bridal shower for Haleigh

We seem to be having lots of showers lately. My cousin, Michael, is getting married to a wonderful girl, Haleigh. We all had a great time seeing everybody for the first time in a while.

Cold and Rainy

Today didn't hold much excitement for us. It rained almost the whole day. It actually turned out good... the kids stayed entertained with their little people toys and I stayed entertained with a book.

Too tired to eat veggies!

This boy will do anything to get out of eating his veggies!  He sat at the table for so long that he fell asleep.  Cute stubborn boy!

Blake's graduation

Blake graduated from Seminary and High School!  We're so proud of his accomplishments!  We had dessert after seminary graduation, and went to Jeremiah's after High School graduation.  Such fun times together.

Babies everywhere!

I've been waiting for this... to be pregnant at the same time as one of my sisters! Finally it's happened and there's going to be three little babies born within three months of each other. Jessica's due June 26th, I'm due Sept. 26th, and Shannon's due October 4th. It will be so fun to watch these babies together. Lisa promised she will be in on the next round of kids. They haven't even been married a year, so I guess we'll cut them some slack.

State track meet

Even with a hurt hamstring, Blake decided to still compete at state track. As soon as he lifted his leg to go over the first hurdle, his hamstring gave in. I'm proud of him for all the accomplishments he's made this season. I just wish he could have finished his last race. If you can't tell, Blake's the one laying on the ground.

Indiana

Ben and I flew to Indiana with Larry and Sharla.  We came to visit Fred and his family, and for Porter's baby blessing.

Heather is a pro at making hair bows, so we got all her stuff out to make some for Abby.  Kaitlyn kept calling her Gabby, it was cute.

And of course what Sunday is complete without watching sports! The Jazz/Lakers game was on and so the men are planted on the couch. Little Porter was blessed today, I was glad that we could be here to share his special day.

Sweet little Sadie has been going through chemotherapy for her cancer, and she's such a trooper!  She's doing great!

The day after the blessing, we took Kaitlyn to the zoo.  It was kinda fun being there with just Ben, but we missed having the kids with us.

Our favorite part of the trip was coming home to these two cuties!

Pretty Pedicures

For Mother's Day I gave Ben a splendid idea... I told him he could give me a pedicure, and we could give my Mom one, and then we could go to our pedicures together. We had a nice relaxing time, and if anybody wants to think that my toes are the nicely tanned ones... I will let you think that.

long day

I love it when my day is filled with things to do (fun things that is). Today we played outside at Grandma's, went to Scouts, and then went to my brother's track meet. The kids were SO tired on the way home. Luke even told me he was tired, and he needed to go to sleep. Sleeping kids never cease to amaze me. They're just so sweet and peaceful!

High School Reunion BBQ

I have the best friends from High School.  We hardly ever get to see each other, since we live so far apart.  We finally got together with our families for a BBQ.  It was so fun to catch up!

The kids playing in the dog house. They had such a good time together. Luke's the one inside the "tunnel" as he called it.

Playing in the Garden

We have the cutest shed in our backyard.  Abigail and Luke love to go and play out there.

Treehouse museum

Grandma Barb and I took the kids to the treehouse.  It was their first time, and they just loved it.  Luke just ran from spot to spot, finding new things.  They especially loved the doll hospital, and the doll houses.
