November 2014

November came and went so fast, with lots of fun events!

I love finding Carly and Ike together.  She just loves him so much

My parents had their 35 wedding anniversary.  They invited us kids over to dinner and watch old slides together.

Abigail's class does a reader's theater every couple of months, where they read little stories to us.  I love going and watching her read her part.  She gets so excited and nervous :)
I've told the kids that since there are three of them in school, I can't possibly go to each of their parties.  They are usually on the same day, so I signed up help with 2 parties for each of them.
Thanksgiving was Abigail's turn.  They had a big pow wow set up with lots of  different stations.

2 different kids randomly commented on how weird it was that I was her mom because we don't look alike.  Well, excuse me... but she's the only one that does look part like me :)

Carly and her friend, Payton, at their Thanksgiving feast.  My friend was nice enough to send me a picture of them.
getting a tired baby out of the tub.
Luke joined choir this year, and he loved it!  They had a concert at the Eccles building.  It was so fun to watch him.

After the concert, we walked down to Beyond Glazed and had some gourmet donuts.

poor Isaac just got cheerios.  I think there was a white tree behind my head, not static hair.
I got Christmas stuff out the day before Thanksgiving.  We've never done it that early, but I guess I was excited this year.  Isaac got antlers put on his head a million times that first day, and he hated it.
We took Luke to get his hair cut.  I thought the girls looked cute watching him.  They asked the lady  endless questions about all sorts of stuff.
 Thanksgiving day
We love freshly bathed babies I guess, because we take lots of pictures :)

We had Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's house this year.  We had Jess and Matt, Jed and Shannon, Mom and Dad, and us.  A little small this year, but fun.
Shannon brought a fun craft for the kids to do.
Luke and Lisa came over after dinner with cute baby Nash.

Crazy fun boys

Disneyland Trip Day 5

The kids have been dying their entire life to go to the beach.
So on our last day, we went to Laguna Beach.  The were so happy and they loved all of the tide pools.  Hailey acted like our tour guide and explained what all the little creatures were.

Carly and Abigail each brought home a giant bag of shells and tons of sand.

Hailey was mesmerized by her shadow

After a few hours at the beach, we showered, loaded up the car and headed to Mesquite.  We stayed the night there and drove home the rest of the way.  That last day of  driving was so hard, I just wanted to be home, holding Isaac.
Sharla and my parents sent me lots of pictures of him, and this was my favorite one.  As long as he was happy and having a good time, I was ok.  My Mom warned me on the way home that we might not get him back because they had grown overly attached to him :)  As soon as I walked in the door, he leaped into my arms.  It was so sweet... but then he wanted to go back to Grandma, the little stinker :)
It was so good to be reunited again.

Disneyland Trip Day 4

On our last day, we went back to Disneyland.  There were 2 rides we missed out on from the first day.  The Christmas decorations were are all up, so I thought it was fun that we got to see Halloween and Christmas stuff.  It was nice to slow down too, since we had already seen most of it.

Hailey wanted to know where Abu was.  She was sad he wasn't there.
Hailey didn't want to go on Splash mountain, so we found some friends.

I was cracking up, because Hailey didn't know who this was.
She asked as we were leaving who that big gray guy was.

Going on Big Thunder Mountain.  We all loved this ride!

The Dumbo ride was the longest wait of the whole day.
Abigail was excited to ride alone

 And us three barely fit

I wish Ike was in this picture!
Next time... now we have an excuse to go again soon :)
The kids each wanted their own personal picture in front of the castle.

Everyone wanted to go on Star Tours for their third time, and Hailey refused to go.
So Hailey and I got a treat and relaxed for a while.

For dinner, we got a pizza and and ate while we waited for the parade to start.

Disneyland really is the most magical place on earth... I think I may have loved it more than the kids did, and they really really loved it. I loved watching the kids, and seeing how much they loved everything.
