Bear Lake 2015

Luke and Lisa invited us to go to Bear Lake with them, Mom and Dad, and Blake and April.  I'm glad, because it was the last thing on our summer list that we hadn't gotten to yet.  We went to the North Beach, and played in the sand and went out on the kayak.

It was the perfect way to end our summer
(still calling it summer even though school's started)

First Day of school

The first day of school went really well for all of the kids.  Hailey started kindergarten a week after the older three.  I thought she'd have a hard time waiting, but she didn't mind.

Here's their thoughts/feelings from the first day:
Luke-5th- "My teacher is cool, and I sit by cool people" (Luke is a man of few words when I ask him how school goes each day)

Abigail-3rd- "We talked a lot about the rules.  Like how to tuck in your chair, my teacher really likes us to tuck in our chairs.  Everybody was nice."

Carly-1st- "My teacher is soooooo nice.  She's really pretty, and she was really nice.  I get to sit by Avery.  Ethan told us to quit talking so much, but we were just using our number 1 inside talking voices.  And teacher said that's ok.  Payton is in my class, and I play with my friends at recess.  I saved some of my lunch and we had a picnic under a tree." (She went on and on and on.  but I feel like we got the gist of Carly's day.)

Hailey-Kindergarten- "My teacher is nice, and I followed the rules. Some of the kids didn't follow the rules.  Me and Jake played, but not in class.  We didn't have time, we were too busy doing work."

summer in a nutshell

Oh how I love the lazy days of summer.
 We had a good one.

We went to the pool with friends a lot.

Isaac realized horses are his favorite animal.  He carries them around while neighing.

We had a reunion for our Trek family.

Luke read and read and read.  Ike loves to be with Luke, so I'd often find these two like this.

We had a campout in the back yard.  By "we" I mean everyone but me, Hailey, and Ike.

 Ike shared his Lucky Charms.

I found about 30 pictures of this log cabin on my phone.  I'm guessing either Carly or Abigail built it.

 We played with friends.

Hailey snuck over to pet the neighbor's cat.  I tell her to go play with their animals when ever they ask for one of their own.

The kids captured lots of poor insects

The girls are finally soft enough with my head, that I let them play with my hair.

 We did some puzzles

 Played with cousins.

Took a couple of selfies here and there.

 Played Mom and baby  (dolls)

We had a week of Mom and Hailey time before Kindergarten started and after the oldest 3 went back.

Played basketball in our p.j.'s
