splash pad

We took advantage of the one day that it didn't rain last week and went to the splash pad. My friend Ashley and her kids came with us. I hope that we have another clear day soon, the kids keep talking about Bryn, Skylar, and the splash pad.

Dallin and Abigail debating about entering the water. Ab eventually ran through a few times, but Dallin played it safe on the side.

Here's Carly showing two of her seven pearly whites.

a pet snail

In between rain showers today, we decided to plant some flowers.
Carly sat on the patio having a great time trying to eat grass.

I took Carly's grass away, and she wasn't very happy about it.

We found a big snail while planting the flowers. Luke decided they were going to be great friends. I was a little nervous for the snail since Luke had minutes previously killed some worms. He said they wanted to stretch out... poor things.

He carried him around in a cup for the rest of the day. Tonight when he went to bed, I returned him to the flower bed. Luke asks me over and over, "when are we going to get our puppy?" We might have to settle for a turtle or a hermit crab...

he's gone

Blake left this past Wednesday. Instead of going down to the MTC, we just had breakfast at my parents' house and said our goodbyes. I actually liked it better this way. I told everyone that we should sing 'Called to Serve' but of course Jed, Luke, and, Ben laughed. So here's one last picture with Blake and the siblings. I wish I would have known where to look, I'm the only one looking at the other camera.

Happy Birthday Grandma Bars

We had a birthday celebration at the park last week, for my Mom. When I told Luke that it was Grandma's birthday, he said "she needs a cake, and balloons" So Luke picked out a cake and balloons. I think that all the balloons got popped before we got to the park.

Carly and Beau.
Beau's arms and legs were in constant motion, like he was swimming in air. He really wants to start crawling

Abigail was SO pooped out from the day. She's in the transition... I'm not sure if we can do without a nap, but if she takes one she's up 'till 9:30 or 10:00.

two gorgeouses

Carly loves her sister Abigail, and Abigail loves Carly! Abigail is the best helper, she tries to change her diaper(which oft times leads to a half naked Carly laying on the floor), feed her (usually things I tell her not to), and entertain her (not always a safe thing.) Ab always picks her up and drags her across the ground, after a while I had to quit getting mad at Ab because Carly loves it so much.

Abigail likes me to hold both of them at the same time so I can have "two gorgeouses" in my arms.
