june 2014

June was a fun filled month for sure.

Baseball was a blur this year.  Abigail and Luke played, Carly didn't have any interest.  I was ok with that since it's hard enough to get to Luke and Abi's games.  Carly and Hailey loved being at the games and playing at all the different parks that we went to.  Even more than the parks, Carly loved to play with Ike.

This is the only picture of Luke that I got.  I was terrible.  I kept forgetting.  He's the one in red right above Isaac's head.  Luke's team was the Hot Shots.  He had a great season, with only one casualty.  He got hit with a ball in the nose, and wow, did it bleed.
Abigail's team was the Hershey's.  She wasn't thrilled about the name choice, but she enjoyed her season too, and played well.
Carly always packed her bag full of things to entertain  Hailey
Getting ready to go to lunch with my sisters, Mom, and Ike for Jessica's birthday.  From March until August each one of us has a birthday, and so we go out for either lunch or dinner sans kids (little babies are allowed).  It's definitely something I look forward to.
Grandpa Larry works at the V.A. hospital in Salt Lake.  A lady that works with him raises baby kangaroos until they are old enough to go to zoos.  There is a little courtyard at their building that the kangaroo hangs out in during the day.  All the Veterans love for the kangaroo to visit.  This kangaroo, Simon, is the 12th one that she has raised.
We scheduled a little day trip to S.L. to meet Courtney and Fisher, and to hang out with Simon.

You can tell what a good Grandpa Larry is, because he's still holding Ike even though he wet through his pants.  I'm slightly embarrassed that apparently I didn't change his diaper soon enough.  Too much excitement I guess.

Hailey didn't want a thing to do with Simon.
 He likes to be cuddled
There was also a giant tortoise
The Veterans loved to see the kids.  One man asked if he could "hold that cute little baby hand"  He just loved holding onto Isaac.  He  said, "Thanks, that just makes my day.  Babies are special"  He was such a sweet man.

Afterwards we went to a park and had lunch.

The kids had a little bike wash one afternoon.
Ben's work had another Lagoon day, and luckily it was on a Saturday so he could come.  We had a blast, even though you can't tell by looking at Carly.
 On the train.
Luke is so good to hold his sisters hands, even when he would rather not.
We saw this sign at Wal Mart, and Luke just had to have his picture in front of it.
Hailey set up these buckets (tables) to play school with.  She put Ike in his bumbo and set him up with a bucket.  She was so proud of herself.
Abigail loves to braid.  I'm so glad Carly is a willing subject, because I can only let her braid my hair for so long.  Apparently I have a very sensitive scalp.  And of course, they always want pictures at the end.

Lagoon in June 2014

Ben got some free tickets from work to Lagoon this year, the only bummer was that it was during the week, so he couldn't come with.  Grandma Barb babysat Ike and Grandma Sharla came with us.  What would we do without our wonderful Grandma's?

When we were on the tilt a whirl, Hailey started freaking out a bit.  She said, "Mom, I don't think this is safe."  then as we were spinning she screamed out, "this really really isn't safe!"

She prefer rides like nice and quiet Bulgy the whale

The kids thought it was extra fun because Grandma splurged on some games.

Petting Zoo

About every week or so during the summer, we plan a family outing.  My mom, my sisters, my Grandma Dixie, and all the kids come.  A couple of weeks ago, we headed over to Eden.  We had lunch at a park and then went to Carver's petting zoo.
I love that we do this, because it brings back lots of memories from my Aunts and cousins when we were little.

All the Jenkins grandkids.  Hailey and Kael were really happy :)

Luke thought the pigs were hilarious

The lady took the kittens away from us after a few minutes... she thought we were being too rough.  I thought the kids were just being extra loving.
