Horse rides October 2015

My parents had a ward auction night, and they bid on the horseback riding.  Well, they got it and invited us to come and ride too.  The kids were thrilled.  Now they think we're going to move to Plain City and buy horses.  I totally would if I could.

Isaac is in love with horses.  He wasn't the least bit nervous.  He had smiles the whole time.
 Luke and Beau

 Abi and Adam

 Carly and Emma
Hailey does not care too much for horses.  She would only ride if I got on with her.

 My parents are so cute.

After riding, we went to my Parent's house and ate chili.  I don't like my brother in Arizona to feel left out. So occasionally, I send him pictures of what I'm doing.  This was one of those times.

randoms from the first half of October 2015

Abigail, Isaac, and I were in between picking up the other kids for a minute, so we stopped at a park. I love watching my older kids playing with Ike.  He loves them so much.

Abigail loves to dress him up in different things.  The poor kid usually puts up with it.

The kids were all playing hide and seek together.  Luke and Ike picked the coat closet.
We always know where Ike is because he talks so loudly while hiding.

Hailey came home from school one day and wanted to make a wizard hat.  She put it together all by herself.  Even the headband.  When the big kids came home, they saw it and wanted to make their own too.  She asked me to send a picture to Dad.

Last year, Hailey did a preschool program through upstart.  We finally got her results back from her end of the year testing... she did great!

Hailey had her first field trip to the fire station.

 Hailey loves her friend Tori

and of course we all know she loves Jake

I was talking to my friend while Hailey got in the car. So when I opened the door, she said, "Get in the car kid!  I'm the Mom now!"  She asked if I really would climb in the back for a bit.  I didn't.

I went and helped Abigail's 3rd grade class cut out, glue, and spray paint their haunted houses.

Simon, the baby kangaroo, came and stayed with Ben's parents for a few days.

He was mauled by all the kids.  They loved it.
They even brought Simon to Abigail's basketball game.  Ben's coaching her this year, and she's so happy about it!

pumpkin picking 2015

All the Jenkins women and children (I think some men were there too) got together for our pumpking picking and pizza party.  My Mom brought pizza and my Grandma Dixie brought treats (of course).  We ate at a park in Plain City and then went to the Weston's pumpkin patch.
I LOVE this picture of Ike and Grandma Dixie.  So precious.

We're only missing Wally in this picture.

They hauled the kids and their pumpkins right to our cars so they wouldn't have to carry them all the way.  They loved the ride.

Abigail's field trip September 2015

The first stop of Abigail's field trip was Hill Airforce Base.  The kids made rockets, shot them off, and went on a scavenger hunt.  It's one of my favorite field trip destinations.

The second half of the field trip was at the Treehouse Museum.  This is probably my least favorite field trip... but I endure, because it's all about the kids and not me :)  Abigail got to play the part of the troll.

After the play, we went to the Art Garden to make wands.  I have sat through wand making many times.  I was resting my chin on my hands when one of the girls in our group snapped her fingers at me and said, "Hey, Abigail's mom, you were totally sleeping".

It was awesome to hang out with my girl and her cute friends the whole day :)
