May 2016

May has to be one of my favorite months... I love the promise of warm weather... and by this time of the year, we are all so sick of homework and responsibilites.

We had so many late baseball games that threw Ike off his schedule, he would fall asleep just about anywhere.

Ike is so obsessed with baseball.  He was very particular about wearing his hat to bed, while holding his ball and bat.

I love finding the pictures the kids take of each other on my phone.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day with these sweeties.  I am blessed to be their Mom.

Carly and Hailey had their tumbling review.

This was Hailey's second year and Carly's first.  I think we've finally found an activity that Carly loves.

We went on a field trip to the Nature Center with Carly's class.

 Finding bugs in the goop.

On the way home one day all three of the kids fell asleep.  I sat in the car for a while with them and listened to my book.

Fun at the park during a ball game.

 Fixing bikes with Dad.

Abigail did the Science/Math Olympiad at the Fair Grounds.  They came in fourth place for Barge building

Luke had bright pink uniforms this year... he said he was man enough to wear them.

Carly and a few friends at her field day.

She earned a book from her teacher

I absolutely love this picture of Luke... doing three of his favorite things almost simultaneously.  He had just finished playing basketball, came in to eat a bowl of cereal while reading.  I love this boy!

Luke was so excited to have Ike hang out with him and his friends at his field day.

All three girls played baseball the same two nights of the week. I hardly ever got to watch all three games.  One night Carly and Hailey played right next to each other and the same time.  So Abi and I just sat in the middle and were able to watch both.

Abi and her friend, Kate, at their field day.

 Last day of school 2016.
I've never struggled through a school year as much as I did this year.  Thankgoodness that my kids are becoming more responsible and can get their work done and turned in without too many reminders.  There were so many times we were doing homework on Monday morning, eating breakfast while running to the bus, and having to dig around for clothes to wear.  Summer has never been so welcomed as it has this year.

During Hailey's field day, the kids were getting pretty wound up.  I told them for our station, we were going to take a little nap ( I know, totally lame)  They actually stayed like this for a while... I think they secretly enjoyed quiet time.

Jake and Hailey weren't on the same Tball team, but we still got to see them a lot

Brent and Shelley came to visit, so we squeezed in a Temple visit.

April 2016

 Pretty Hailey

Ben and Luke went shooting with his new birthday gun.

Grandma and Grandpa Dawson invited us to go see the new Jungle Book with them, then to lunch afterwards.  The kids LOVED the movie.

Ike likes to ride on the flouride cart whenever it's my turn to deliver it.

Shelley came up to drop Wally off before her and Brent went on a trip, so we got together for lunch.

 Grandpa Larry's birthday party!

I got to go with Hailey and her class to baby animals days in Logan.

My Mom and I were both able to watch Wally for a couple days while his parents were away.  My kids loved it, especially Abigail.  I think she decided that it was her personal responsibility to take care of him.

Ike's crib broke after somebody 'fell' into it.  It's been through all five babies, so I'm just glad it lasted this long.  Luke and Ike got bunk beds, and they are loving it.

Nash and Noah were over playing one day, and I had to vacuum for some reason.  As soon as I started the vacuum, they all ran to the couch and covered their ears.  They stayed like that the entire time I vacuumed the whole house.
He loves to snuggle after his naps

Hailey got to come to Carly's spring party with me

Abigail's Adnoids

My sweet Abigail just plain old can't breathe.  Her nose is always stuffy and giving her grief. We took her to the Dr. and he recommended we get her adnoids removed.  She did so great during her surgery and also during recovery.  She never complained and I constantly had to tell her she needed to running around and rest.

 In the waiting room

 Almost time

Right after surgery.  Grandma Sharla brought her a get well beanie boo.

She was such a trooper!

Las Vegas

We always go out to dinner for our birthdays.  Since we didn't want to miss out on Shelley's birthday, we decided to drive to Las Vegas and surprise her.  We drove to Mesquite Friday night, and Saturday morning, we drove to Vegas.  We shopped and ate lunch, shopped some more.  It poured on us the entire day.  That night we stayed at Brent and Shelley's, then drove home Sunday morning.  It was an awesome girls weekend!
My Mom said that this was her first selfie :)
 Wally is just so adorable!

We were wet and a little chilled by the end of the day, but hanging out was so fun.
So many good and funny memories!!!

Spring break 2016

Here are just a few highlights from our Spring break this year.  We had a blast, and it always gets me excited to have the kids home for summer.
We went to a Layton park with the Jenkins cousins

Most of the grandkids and my nephew Fisher from the Dawson side

Isaac HATES when I put my hair in a bun or ponytail.  Like hates with a passion.  He cries and says, "put your hair down! put your hair down!"

Ike has just started to get into trouble more frequently... like drawing on walls, putting stuff in water, and wasting all the lotion.

We went to the aquarium in Salt Lake with the Dawson cousins and our neighbor, Jake.

We had such a big crowd to keep track of in this crowded place!  Luckily, we didn't lose anyone for long.

Most of the Dawson grandkids and Jake

Again...Isaac was super mad I had my hair up and kept grabbing it.
