The crazy week

Jess and Matt asked us to dog-sit Quigley while they went on a week long road trip.  We all went and stayed in North Ogden, since Quigley had all he needed there.  My kids were excited to sleep in beds again... although we were short two beds, so they just shared.
It was quite an adventurous week. We had all the regular stuff like baseball, tumbling, school, scouts, sewing and random activities, but to make it busier, it was teacher appreciation at the elementary, which I was in charge of. So I ended up driving a triangle from North Ogden to Pioneer Elementary to Plain City several times a day, often with Quigley in tow.  I often forgot contacts, clothes, homework, etc. at one place and had to go get it.  It really was a week to remember. The kids loved staying at the Stringham's because they have so many cool toys and a fun backyard.

Carly and her two cute friends did a tumbling routine for their second grade talent show.

We ordered lunch from Bella's for the teacher appreciation luncheon.  I'm so glad I had so much help from friends, it turned out so good.

I loved the little gifts for the teachers.  My friend, Jamie, put them together and she always does a great job!

One of the many car adventures that Quigley had with us.

Abigail tried out pitching for the first time for softball.  I brought Quigley with me to the game, and a super tall man walked past us at the game.  Quigley went after him and started barking like crazy.  I had to hold on to the leash so tight.

Luke did a great job on his country report.  His teacher asked if she could keep his board to show as an example for next year.  She said it looked so nice.

Abigail loved taking Quigley for walks.

The first night Ben came to Jessica's house, Quigley saw him coming up the stairs and lost it.  Crazy growling and barking.  He wouldn't even let him come up until I distracted him with a bone.  He does not like Ben.  I decided that after seeing the tall guy at the park and then Ben, that he doesn't like overly tall men.  Quigley likes me a lot though, sometimes too much.  He licks me all day.  One night I got tired of it and I sat on Ben's lap because he wouldn't even come near Ben.  Quigley just growled at me from afar.  Like he knew I was doing it on purpose.  I stayed that way for so long that Ben fell asleep.

The girls took turns sharing Emma's bed and sleeping on the floor.

Beau and Kael come over one day when we got home from Jessica's.  Ike saw Kael's shirt and was so worried that he had taken his.  He ran and found his in the dresser and put it on so they could be twins.

Adjusting and baby Jett

Blake blessed cute baby Jett! The whole family was there, and Blake did a wonderful job.

We are adjusting to our new living space at my Parent's house.  The kids sleep on big foam mattresses in the living room.  I love to see them snuggled up in the morning.

Isaac thinks that since he doesn't have a real bed, he doesn't need naps anymore, but now he just falls asleep everywhere.

It's so fun to have cousins living around.  It's an adjustment to not living in a subdivision, so it's nice there are still a few friends around.

Saying goodbye to Blake's family for reals.  They are all finally going to be in Vegas together.

We will miss this cute baby!

We had a mother-daughter activity in our new ward.  The girls loved it, and it was fun to get to know some new people!

My tumblers

Carly and Hailey have been in tumbling this past school year, and they have loved it!  I really love watching their end of the year review.  They improve so much during the year.

moving some more and other stuff

Blake and April are moving to Las Vegas.  Blake has a job working with Brent, at Allegiant.  So we went over Saturday to help them pack up.  Blake had to leave that day and drive to Vegas with Brent, but April and Jett got to stay one more week.

Isaac loves dogs, especially cute tiny ones like Sebastian.

 The grandmas with Jett baby

We love this little family so much!  We're going to miss them!

Later that day, we went to a car show in Plain City.  Ike found a truck that looked just like Mater.  He was so happy that he could sit in it.

On Sunday, we went to our Harrisville ward one last time.  Carly is the best of friends with
Cambrie and Avery.

These are Ike's nursery leaders, the Dawsons.  He loves them SO SO SO much.  He had all his buddies in class too.  He will miss nursery.

Our last regularly scheduled Sunday dinner with Jett.

Moving

All I can say is that we have the best friends in the world.  We picked Monday for our moving day, and it poured rain.  We were so lucky our friend, Nic, saved us with his covered trailer.  The Fields, Riches, and Schofields came over and loaded up the trailers and cars.  The little kids made a line and carried out all of the food storage.  We drove over to Eli's and they all came and helped us unload.  Eli is a saint to help us move and store our stuff while we build our home.
Over the next week, I cleaned and cleaned.  One of my sweet beehives, Kelsea asked if she could come and help me clean.  Another friend, Ashley, babysat Isaac and brought me more boxes.  It made moving away that much harder.  We're so blessed to have great friends and neighbors.

On moving day, the kids got home from school and ate cold cereal in Nacho trays with forks.  Everything else was packed.  Good thing Tawna brought cookies with her, the kids were hungry.

loading the furniture in the rain.

We drove  back and forth between Harrisville and Plain City so many times.  It became crazy and chaotic. I think my Mom fixed them dinner for me the whole first week we lived there, because I was still cleaning at nights.

Closing day!  We took the kids to ride the bus with friends one last time and to grab a few remaining items before the house wasn't ours anymore.

It was crazy hair day, and I forgot of course, so we ran to the Darrington's to borrow hair spray.

All empty, ready for the new owners.
