Isaac and Luke

While my visiting teacher was over, I saw Ike walk into my room.  Side note, this is what it looks like for 7 people to share a bedroom.  Anyways,  he never came back out, so when she left I went looking for him.  It took me a minute to find him. I couldn't see him from this perspective, so I walked around the side of the bed...

And I saw his little legs and bum.  He gets tired and he puts himself to sleep in the strangest places.  It's like playing hide and seek every day.

Another sleepy afternoon with Ike.

Looks like Luke fell asleep also.

At the pool with my handsome young man.

During swimming lessons, Ike liked to lay down and play with the jets in the pool.

24th of July

We usually have swimming lessons over the 24th, so we have to stay close to home.  We took the kids on a hike up 27th street to the pond.  Ben had never been, so the kids were excited to show him.
We went to swimming lessons after the hike and then to Ice Cream at Cold Stone.  It was a pretty fun day as a family!

Grandma Smith

Ben's sweet Grandma Pearl passed away just a couple of days after she moved to the Veteran's home.  We were so grateful that we were able to see her right before she died.  She had a lovely funeral, and it was so nice to see so many family members.

Pearl's children, Melvin, Sharla, Janet, and Julene.

Most of Pearl and Ellis's grandchildren.

Grandma Pearl's brother with Larry and Sharla.

fun, friends, and sleep

Ben's Grandma Pearl Smith has been moved to the Veteran's Memorial hospital.  It will be nice to have her there, since Larry and Sharla both work there.  They'll be able to check on her a lot more often.  We went to visit her and stopped and saw Ben's Grandpa's bricks,
Fred H. Dawson and Ellis P. Smith

Luke started football for the first time, and he's loving it.  He's met lots of new kids and he is working hard at practice.

We love getting together with the Fields and Riches.  Most of the time, the adults have game night.  Sometimes we invite the kids and have a BBQ.  It's a great time for everybody.

Just another night sleeping on the mattresses.  I think the kids will miss not sleeping all together.

They wanted to pretend to be asleep... cute kids.

There's a hole!

We were so excited to see a tractor at our lot!  I watched almost the whole day, I just couldn't pull my eyes away.  We are so happy and grateful that our house has been started.

It's so fun being right next door to see all the action.

The tractor man also had a small covered trailer with him.  Isaac asked me if he had all the stuff to build our house in there.  He's having a hard time understanding how long this is going to take!
