Willow Park Zoo

I was looking at my blog, and I realized I haven't done anything fun with the kids lately. I didn't want to go to the park, because really we do that at least once a day if not twice. So I invited my Mom to come to Logan with us to the little zoo they have.

I was really happy that Luke thought this was as good as the Hogle zoo. Which is nice, since this zoo is only .50 cents.
Abby didn't see any of the 'pink' birds that she was hoping to see, but she loved the baby ducks.

Poor Cars... always stroller bound, and with smeared chocolate chips on her head.

Happy Birthday Grandma Sharla

We celebrated Grandma Sharla's birthday with the kids. Birthday celebrations really are more for the kids, they got so excited to pick out her cake. Then they were too interested in playing with their cousins to eat it... so Carly and I ate theirs as well as ours.

pool party & happy birthday to me

My sister-in-law, Lisa, invited us over to her parent's house for a pool party today. All three of the kids got to swim till their little hearts were content.
Luke's always eyeing this massive blow up slide everytime we go to Sam's Club, and it turns out Lisa's Mom has one. Luke was in heaven. I went down the slides a few times too, I probably would have kept doing it, but I was getting looks from the other adults...

Lisa made a cake for me and Matt (my brother-in-law), It was delicious!

I think Carly stayed mad at me for a while after the cake was gone...
She was such a little fish in the pool, I can't believe how much she loved it.

We tried to get Ab to jump in the pool with Luke and Lisa, but she said "just watch Mom, just watch".

4th of July

first of all, my pictures are all backwards... so start at the bottom of my post.

The Dawson grandkids minus Kaitlyn, Sadie, and Porter... we always miss them at family gatherings.
What a wonderful 4th of July we had this year!

We took a nap and then went to the Dawson's for more food, fireworks, and fun.
By the time we got up there with the girls, Luke had caught a fish.
We didn't plan on taking the kids up to the square this year, but Luke caught wind of the festivities and jumped in the back of the Rhino with cousins.

We slept over at my parent's house, but we had to stay inside because of the rain. The next morning was the parade and breakfast. Luke and Ab rode in the parade with Grandma and Grandpa.

Carly chewed on cups the whole night... her 8th tooth is coming in.

On the third we had dinner at my Aunt and Uncles... Luke and Ab loved the helicopter

2 1/2 & 9 mos.

Abigail is now 2 1/2. She is so much fun and quite the handful. I just love watching her mother all the little kids around her, especially Carly. She's so protective over Carly. Ab loves the color pink (what girl doesn't) if she's eating candy or marshmallows, she picks out the pink ones. If we're at the grocery store she wants to buy only things in pink packaging. She is on the go constantly, and she keeps up with her boy cousins, she won't be left out. She's so happy and smiling constantly.

Carly is the sweet serious one. She smiles and giggles, but you definitely have to earn it. She's a good baby, and a little spoiled. Ben thinks she's got me wrapped around her finger... it's true, she does. I took her to the Dr. and she weighed 18.11 lbs. -50 %, and she was 28 inches- 75%. She's beginning to realize she doesn't have to eat whatever I put in front of her... If she sees me making something she doesn't want, she starts spitting before I even get the food to her. Luke and Ab are her favorite people, they make her giggle harder than anyone else can. She's so fun and so sweet.

And a thanks to Eli for taking these cute pictures of my girls!
