House for sale

After lots of thought and prayers, Ben and I put our beloved house up for sale.  It's amazing how much you can love a place.  We've put so much work into this little house over the years, and had so many memories here, it's hard to think about leaving... but the lure of living next to family in my home town is too great.
We put the house on the market, and our realtor said we broke the MLS record of showings on the first day.  We had nine families come through, and by that night we had four offers.  We had one more come in the next morning. It was such a whirlwind or emotions.  We were so excited to have the house sold, but then it hit us that we were actually moving.
Our Harrisville ward and neighbors are the best people we know.  The kids have amazing friends, and so do Ben and I.  I'm sure we'll make new friends, but these will always be so dear to us.

Luke's a young man!!

He's 12!  He is so excited for YM, scouting adventures, and Jr. High.  I can't believe all of this has come so fast.  He is so responsible, funny, and artistic.  He loves to hang out with him friends,  they ride to the park a lot, have late nights, play basketball, and run around the neighborhood.  He takes good care of his sisters and Ike.  It's so nice to have a babysitter!

Luke asked for German pancakes for his birthday breakfast.

I asked for a picture of the birthday boy...
and all the kids wanted in and got carried away.

We had a crazy little party with the kids while waiting for the Grandparents to come over.

I made an Overwatch cake for Luke.

Grandmas and Grandpas came over for gifts, cake, and ice cream.

The next day, Luke had a friend party at the Dart Side in Layton.  It was a fun party! The kids ran around and shot each other with nerf guns, then when they were all sweaty and ready to pass out, we did dinner and gifts.  Luke has such good friends, I love it!

March

It's so fun going out with Ike.

I love Abi's pictures, especially the stained glass art.

Grandma Barb brought over some Leprechan bait for the kids. Ike didn't want to share,
 the little turkey.

She's trying to make the same face as her cute little monster.

Grandpa Lyon is the neatest man in our ward.  He brings Hershey kisses for all the primary kids every Sunday.  He comes into the primary room and to the classrooms.  He is the sweetest man.  He probably won't be around too much longer, his health isn't great.  They got the primary kids rounded up for a picture with him.  This is the senior primary.

 I love snuggles with Ike

He was so excited about the play house at the mall
