There's a hole!

We were so excited to see a tractor at our lot!  I watched almost the whole day, I just couldn't pull my eyes away.  We are so happy and grateful that our house has been started.

It's so fun being right next door to see all the action.

The tractor man also had a small covered trailer with him.  Isaac asked me if he had all the stuff to build our house in there.  He's having a hard time understanding how long this is going to take!

Birthday fun

I turned 34 this year!  What a great 34 years it has been.  We had a fun filled day with cousins, McDonalds, and dinner at the Dawson's.  Ben brought this cake home with him, and we used our favorite giant birthday candle.

We all had a good laugh over this picture, the kids think it looks like I have to go to the bathroom.  Carly was our photographer for the night.

The kids made my day so special with their little gifts.  Abi rode her bike to Maverick and bought me candy bars and made the piano keychain, Luke made me a fidget spinner and the money card, Hailey made me the purple sunglasses and a flower.  Carly made me a little book.  I just loved every single thing.  These kids make me feel so special!

Summer Fun

Summer is moving right along.  The kids have met new friends, and are still meeting up with old ones, so they're pretty happy!

Jake invited us to swim at his Grandma's pool with him.  We were so excited to hang out with the Darringtons again!  We've missed them so much since we've moved to Plain City.

I walked into the Living Room to see Abi sitting next to a sleeping Luke.  I asked what she was doing.  She said she was waiting for Luke to wake up so they could play their game.  They invented a game the day before and loved it.

Ben snapped this picture one morning as he was leaving for work.  We put Ike to sleep in our bed every night and then we move him out with the kids when we're ready for bed.  Later, usually around 4 a.m. he makes he way back into our bed.  I am so used to him sleeping next, on, or near me that I hardly notice him.  I slept right through this.

Hailey decided she wanted to try out a new do.  I cut 14 inches off of her hair.

I love her new bob!

She looks so sweet with her new hair.

Carly loves her brother

As Ike and I were dozing off on the couch, one of the girls woke us up.

I love his cute bed head

One thing I have noticed about not living in a subdivision, is that the kids are playing more together since there aren't as many friends close by.  It makes my heart so happy to see them together!

Willow Park zoo

With Aunt Shelley and her boys in town, we wanted to take them to the Willow Park zoo.  We walked around the zoo for a while, then had lunch at the fun park next to it.  Shelley, my Mom, and the boys drove back to Ogden after lunch, but we stayed and went back into the zoo to go into the petting zoo.

Wally warmed up to Carly at the end of their trip here.  She was glad he let her carry him around and hold his hand.

 Ike's favorite were the turtles

I had to remove Ike from the petting zoo, because he kept throwing rocks at the goats.

3rd and 4th of July

We had lots of fun over the 3rd and 4th.  My parents rented a bouncy water slide, we had lots of family in town, fireworks, parade, breakfast, and a movie.

Isaac fell asleep in the bouncy house. It was hilarious.  I went in there and tried to carry him out, but he woke back up and ran back in there.

We had extra family here, Matt's sister and family, Matt's parents, and Ben's parents.

The men put on a great firework show

Uncle Jed was in the parade

 All the cousins

We escaped the heat and went to see Beauty and the Beast

Archie kept fussing, until I held him like this and rocked.  He fell right to sleep.
