Last Saturday Carly started running a fever. The Dr. kept calling to check up on her, and she acted like she was fine, she was playing and laughing, then that afternoon she didn't want to eat and she started all at once taking really quick short breaths, so I ran down the the insta-care a block away from my house. The Dr. admitted her to the hospital, but we still weren't sure exactly what was wrong. A long story short... after four days at the hospital, repeatedly being poked, IV's and x-rays, they diagnosed her with streptococcus pneumonia bacteremia. They said it was hard to diagnose at first because it was in the early stages, and her tests kept coming back negative. But luckily we caught it quick, and they did a few rounds of antibiotics at the hospital, and then sent us home with some. A big thanks for all the prayers in Carly's behalf. Carly's doing great and she's loving being at home. P.S. sorry to those that I said I'd do the sugar fast with. Since I'm nursing Carly still, I got to order all the food I wanted... so I ordered dessert with every meal, and in between.

Oh my goodness, I am sooo sorry to hear that!! That is so scary and especially with all the scary things going on right now!! I am so glad they figured things out and that she is doing better now!! wow, you've been going through quite the ordeal lately... I'm sorry to hear that. Glad Sweet Carly is doing better... four days in a hospital is truly a nightmare for any mother... we'll be praying for you!!

Wow I'm so sorry to hear that Carly was so sick, glad she is doing better now! That much have been tough seeing your baby so sick. Hope she continues to improve, our prayers are with you!
Wow, how scary! I am so sorry. Poor Carly. I am glad to hear that she is doing better, but I can't imagine how hard that was having her in the hospital that long. You are such a good mom. Good luck with the rest of the recovery and keep us posted. We will keep her in our prayers.
That is the cutest picture. I am only saying that now that I know she is okay and I am so glad she is doing better. She is the sweetest little girl.
