first day

Luke went to Kindergarten today. He has been so excited to go. Last night he went school supply shopping with Ben, I gave him a haircut (I know, I just buzzed it, but if you saw Luke getting his haircut, you would know we have to do it the quickest, least traumatizing, easiest way possible), and Ben gave him a father's blessing.
This morning he requested pancakes (which I feel I have to do hot breakfast everyday of the school year, because that's what my Mom did... and still does for my two college age brothers)

The girls were really excited for the walk to the bus stop

boarding the bus

He was so happy to be there, I couldn't feel anything but happy for him

Carly was not okay about Luke leaving on the bus

I drove over to the school to make sure he got off the bus okay, and I found him playing with his buddies. I'm excited for him to get home to tell me about his first day.

I'm glad he was so excited for Kindergarten. That's quite a big step for kids! It's cute that Carly missed him once he got on the bus. Hopefully he had a great day.

I am so happy that we live to close to the school for Owen to ride the bus next year. (for my sake) But, it looks like Luke did just fine.
I love the hot breakfast for school mornings. It just fills them up better.

Wow. You are an awesome mom! The only time I do hot breakfast is for dinner. That's cute Carly was sad.

I can't believe that Luke is old enough to be in school. And that was awesome that his buddy 'gave' that folder to him and that his homework was still inside it when he got home today.

I can't believe Luke is already in kindergarten. Seems like the last time I actually saw him he was being rambunctious in our sacrament meeting in our ward in Ogden! Your kids are adorable though, and are the perfect blend of the both of you! See you on Thursday Megan, time to get our fats butts in shape! (Well actually probably just my fat butt, you always look good!) -Lindy
