Luke had his big day last Saturday. He has been so excited. He told me he was mostly excited to get the Holy Ghost. Every prayer he said before his baptism was telling Heavenly Father how happy he was going to be when he was baptized and confirmed.
When Luke's cousin, Fisher, got to the church, he put his arm around Luke and asked if he was ready to get the spirit. I love to see the faith of these kids. They're amazing.
After the baptism/confirmation Luke was beaming. The whole day he just kept talking about how happy he was. I know he could feel the Holy Ghost. It was wonderful to witness.
I love this picture. It was so great to see them come out of the dressing room in the white clothes.
Luke picked his two Grandma's the do the baptism and confirmation talks. He asked his Grandpa's to say the prayers and be the witnesses. Abigail had been wanting to sing the "I like to look for rainbows' song for Luke's baptism, but she said she was a little too shy. Carly and Hailey said they would do it with her, so the three girls sang.
It was a great day and I loved having our family there to support Luke.
Luke and his awesome grandparents
After the baptism he got a few gifts and cards. He was excited, he didn't realize that was coming.
That night after all the guests had left he asked if we were going to have scripture study. I told him yes, and he said, "Wahooooo!" (not a normal reaction) He was the first one ready with his new scriptures.
We had everyone over to our house afterwards for lunch.

Grandpa Jay's showing Luke all the cool gadgets on his new cub scout pocket knife.

And to end the day with pictures by Abigail

Cute pictures. It was a fun day. Luke is so grown up.
What an awesome day for Luke and the whole family. I love all of these pictures!
Cute pictures. I can't believe you have an 8 year old. Crazy. And yes, I hate legos. I love it because Dallin can spent a long time playing with them, but I find the little ones everywhere. I am always tempted to through them away when i find them, but they are just way too expensive. Right now they are all in a box. Dallin builds a set once and doesn't care to build it again so I don't bother keeping them separated. He has a few different bands, and I don't bother to keep those separated from the legos either. They are all in a box. I want something like this. http://www.iammommahearmeroar.net/2012/03/feature-friday-lego-bins.html Ikea has some. To be honest, I doubt I would separate them by color. I know D wouldn't bother when cleaning up, But it would make it easier for him to look through what he has. Every gift giving time we get him legos now. It's really all he wants. Walmart trips always include looking at the lego isle. Have you guys ever taken Luke to a lego store? I was thinking of doing it next time we were in Cleveland. They have a pick a brick wall, and I was thinking it would be fun to make your own lego guys.
