Blake and April's wedding dinner

Blake found such a great girl to marry.  We love April and I'm so happy to have another sister.  Really, you can't have too many.  They had their wedding dinner the night before the big day, in my parent's back yard.  On our way to dinner, it started to sprinkle rain.  We decided to have a prayer asking for the weather to be nice for the night.  The rain stopped as soon as I ended the prayer.  The kids were so excited about our answered prayer.  It was a nice little testimony builder.

My parents have honey bees in their yard.  So my Mom gave out mini honey bears for the favors.  It  matched their colors perfectly.  I asked my friend, Jamie, to make the sticker labels.  I loved how they turned out.

My Mom's friend, Holli, makes awesome cakes.  My girls kept staring at it.  Hailey also stuck her fingers in it a few times.
These two were just made for each other.

Abigail tried to teach Noah and Isaac how to fold the chairs up when the dinner was over.  They couldn't do it at all, but Isaac just went around sticking his foot on the chairs.

Birthday festivities

I cannot remember how old I am anymore.  I keep getting my age mixed up with Ben's.  Luckily, Ben always remembers for me.  I turned 32 this year... I don't mind one bit getting older.  Life's good and I am blessed.
I attended a baptism for primary that morning. When I came home and walked into the house it was perfectly silent and empty.  I said HELLO??  I heard a little baby voice coming from the pantry saying Hello! Hello!  Isaac blew everyone's cover while they were waiting to yell 'surprise!'  It was so cute.  They had  lunch and cake for me and set the table up.  Ben knew it was the only time we'd have to squeeze in a little celebration.

That night, Blake's fiancee was going to the temple for the first time.  It was so neat to have all (minus Brent and Shelley)  of us there for it.  It was probably my favorite birthday present... going to the temple with my family.  After my Dad took us to dinner at the Dragon.
If you just looked at Ben you wouldn't even know that it was windy...

 The beautiful couple!

TREK 2015

Ben and I were called to go on Trek this year as a Ma and Pa.   It was pretty much one of the best experiences we've had.  We were blessed with some amazing kids to be in our family... they never ceased to amaze me, and I loved them.  They were hard workers, fun to be with, such good examples to me, and had such strong testimonies of the Gospel.   I can't believe how well we all got along.

I didn't take my camera, but I found a few pictures of us and our kids from our trek photographer.

Day one- leaving the church
Ben, Meg, Amanda, Kylee, Landon, Sydney, Keely, and Jesse
Day 2- Martin's cove

dinner time on our buckets

Day 3- There were three companies.  We were in company B (which obviously stood for the Best)
This was such a tender moment.... we had to do a woman's pull, where all the men were called away.  The girls had to pull the handcart up a giant hill and the Ma's weren't allowed to help.  I was so proud of my girls.  When we got to the top, we saw the men waiting for us with their hats over their hearts.

Our two boys and Ben pulled the handcart the majority of the time.  They were awesome.

Day 4- All of us 9th Ward Trekkers.

I'm so happy that we were able to have this experience!  We loved Trek!
