Christmas 2014

We had an amazing Christmas this year.  The smells, sounds, lights, family time... it was all great.  I especially enjoy having my kids around during their school break.  It was kind of hard to send them back this time.

We did p.j.'s at G&G Dawson's on Christmas Eve, then headed to G&G Jenkins for dinner and games.  We got home kind of early this year and got the kids in bed. We had a great Christmas morning with the kids, and Isaac loved his first Christmas almost as much as everyone else did.  They were so excited for him to open his gifts.  The Dawsons came over for breakfast, then later we went to their house for lunch.  After all of that, we stopped by my parents to see Brent and Shelley.  It was so nice to have them here for Christmas.  Somehow, I didn't get a single picture of Shelley with her cute belly.

they had so much fun watching Ike!

It snowed!
best Christmas surprise ever!

I don't know if Isaac loves sitting in baskets because the girls always put him in them or we put him in them because he likes them.  Either way, he likes to sit in baskets, doll strollers, tubs... etc.

We got to play a few hands of Rook while Ike snoozed on my lap.

December 2014

Luke's school choir sang at Farr West's Christmas lighting this year.  A few schools sang then Santa arrived, and we got hot chocolate and donuts.  Luke loved choir, his voice became raspy a few weeks into choir and didn't go away until Christmas break.  It took me a while to put two and two together as to why he talked like that.

We're always so grateful that we have Grandmas to come and support the kids.

My Mom made a billion cookies again this year for the kids to make their star trees.  They loved it!

Hailey is such a little Daddy's girl.

 Shopping with Isaac.

I'm pretty sure I take a picture of his lashes daily.

I helped with Carly's school Christmas party.
Luke saw us, so he came and entertained Isaac for a while.

Someone asked which Kindergarten class Hailey was in.  They were surprised that she's only in preschool because of how well she colored and wrote her name.

The cutest activity was where the kids made a strand of Christmas lights with their thumb prints.

After the school party, I took all the kids to Smith and Edwards to get Dad a gift.  Luke and Ab were still in their P.J.'s from their party at school.  We happened to run into Santa there.  When the kids all got in for the picture, he told me to put the baby on his lap.  I told him the Ike was asleep, so we would  leave him out.

He didn't want Ike to grow up looking at that picture without him.  He told me to carefully pull down the sunshade and that he would sneak by the car seat for a picture.  He also told me that I should call him the most accommodating Santa ever.  The kids loved him and thought he was probably the real Santa.
